Blurry Pictures

Who hasn’t taken a picture that is blurry!  Try some of these easy fixes to correct those blurry pictures.

First of all ensure the auto focus is set on your camera.  If you have a DSLR or a bridge camera, it contains both auto and manual focus settings.   It is sometimes difficult to see that your picture is out of focus on the LCD screen and, not until  you actually view it on your computer screen or print it do you see the blur.  Always check your settings before you take the picture!

Some of the other causes of blurry pictures are camera shake and subject movement.

Camera shake – use a tripod, or if one is not available, rest your arms or the camera on a solid object, especially when using a large zoom function.

Subject movement – set your camera to SPORT or ACTION.  This is great for taking pictures of small children at any time or your kids’ sports.  If you have a DSLR camera, it will continue to shoot for as long as you hold down the shutter button.  You will have to view these photos as you do not get a preview with continual shooting.
